The proper way to trim your beard by Huckleberry Beard Company

Believe it or not, there is a right and wrong way to trim your beard. Now I am not talking about guys who want to experiment or wear some cool mutton chops. I am talking about the guys who usually wear a shorter beard due to business reasons or they just happen to like the style. The key to a great short beard is to have it look as natural as possible while keeping it looking clean. Some guys can go without trimming and the beard will look kept. Others like myself who happen to have a longer neck tend to look rough if the neck line isn’t trimmed up somewhat.

If you refer to the chart you will see that if you decide to go with an unnatural line like A. You will tend to look like you are trying too hard to fit in with a beard. This look doesn’t look right on any man’s face. It will make you appear to have an elongated neck and if you tend to have a weak chin or a double chin then this will make it appear worse.

To keep your best natural look as possible, you may want to shave between the letters B. and C. with a razor or beard trimmer as well as take a razor to create a clean line above the letter D. By doing this you will keep yourself from looking like you are trying too hard to fit in as well as have a solid natural looking beard. Another tip is to wait about 4-6 weeks before you do any trimming if possible. This will allow you to see your natural lines and keep you from trimming to much off.

Remember the main point. If you take too much off it will be gone. Take as little as possible until you get it to where you want.
